# Creating a Location

### Steps to Create a Location

1. Go to the **“Locations”** tab in the **“Settings”** section.

2. Click the **“Create”** button.

3. Enable the **“Active”** checkbox (This option controls whether your location is displayed in the guest’s personal account)

4. Select the **Location POS** "your venue’s POS system" (This setting assigns transactions to a specific location)

5. Upload the **main image** for the location. (Recommended parameters: **1600 × 900 px**, **PNG** format)

6. If needed, add **images to the gallery** (Recommended parameters: **1600 × 900 px**, **PNG** format)

7. Enter the **location name**.

8. Add a **description** *(optional)*.

9. Enter the **phone number** *(optional)*.

10. Enter the **location address**.

11. Enter the **latitude and longitude**. (These parameters are used for **geo push notifications** See: [Geo Push Notification Setup Guide](https://help.loyallyst.com/en/article/setting-up-geo-push-notifications-1qojqkj/))

12. Enter the **text to display when a client is near the location** (This text will be shown to guests who are within a **100-meter radius** of the location)

13. Add a **Google Reviews link** *(optional)*.

14. Add **social media links**:

* Instagram
* TikTok
* Facebook
* WhatsApp
* Telegram
* Website

15. Add **additional buttons** if needed *(optional)*:

* Link
* Map
